TIPS for unexperienced candidates
How to prepare the CV?
A CV is a mandatory component in your job search and it is a key tool to attract the attention of potential employers.
A CV should include:
- Personal information – full name, address, contact information.
- Skills and a summary of your career. Include two to three key skills and accomplishments.
- Education and professional designations. You only need to include the most recent institution.
- Professional experience, starting from the most recent first. You should not include all of the details and instead focus on:
- Company name and employment period
- Your title and position.
- Your core responsibilities and key accomplishments in point form.
- Interests.
Companies receive many applications, so it is important to include any information which shows that you are the ideal candidate. Just remember that your CV should not exceed three pages.
Your CV must be:
- Truthful
- Free of spelling and grammatical errors.
- Written in a professional tone and formatting. Remember that this is your calling card.
